Can anyone help me with the best site in the Wasdale valley area.

Going with the kids so Scafell is off the list as the railway and Muncaster Castle seem a much more family idea ..... Also it's easier to carry the daughter around rather than UP

Thanks

Stu

Hi there,

We stayed at Eskdale Camping & Caravanning Club site at Easter.  Lovely site.  Loads of walks and 3 pups within walking distance.

Hope this helps.

Michelle

Fisherground is an excellent site. We stayed there the weekend after Easter and had a great time. There is a lovely pond with tyre `boats` for the kids to sail in as well as a large play frame. It even has it`s own stop on the Laàl Ratty see here !

Eskdale C&CC site is also a nice site and is a short walk from the Laàl Ratty Eskdale terminus. There is also a C&CC in Ravenglass itself that has been highly recommended to me.

I only live about 20 mins from Eskdale so if you want to know anything else just ask.

We also stayed at the Eskdale C&CC site last easter. It is a wonderful site.... lovely new clean facilities and the most breathtaking scenery and walk in the surrounding area...and yes the pub is within walking distance... always a bonus!!!
