We are going this weekend for the first time in 20 years! can anyone recommend a good site with toilets and showers which are handy for the village scene, so we can walk in to visit a pub or two! some where around Bedale. Flamborough or Knaresborough, without falling down a ditch on the way back!  We are probably late booking now, so any help would be APPRECIATED!

Reckon you'll struggle getting anywhere in or near K'boro at this stage as it's the FEVA festival this weekend!  Not terribly near 1 of your other target areas at least, but there's a site called Serenity in a village called Hinderwell about 10 miles north of Whitby that might be what you're after.  The shower blocks and loos are really nice and clean, it's right in the middle of the village, there are 2 pubs in the village, 3 more a short walk away in Runswick Bay in one direction, and Staithes in the other.  Anyway, have a look for it in campsite search if you like the sound and have a great weekend away!

My mum and dad have just come back from Studfold Farm in Lofthouse, just outside Pateley Bridge. We went to visit them on Sunday and the campsite was so pretty, in a gorgeous spot. Toilets/showers new and clean although apparently there might be a bit of queue in the morning. It was in a quiet spot and whilst there were a few families it was, according to my mum, really quiet and night and first thing. And had a nice, happy atmosphere.

Brown at Cayton Bay metnioned but just down the road is Cayton Village site with its little gate way out to 4 pubs and a nice chippy.  Also this weekend is free mjsic festival on Scarborough beach
