Hi, I'm looking for a nice site around Bakewell, not too expensive, no really bothered about facilities as long as they are adequate and well maintained. My son recently walked to Monsal  Head and wants to go again and take me this time!

I would recommend Greenhills which is on the A6 between Bakewell and Ashford-in-the-Water.

Just come back from there this weekend and had a great time. Good facilities, decent sized picthes (we've got a Vango Diablo 900) - would especially recommend trying to get on the Ashford View field as it was quieter than the rest (not that they were noisy) plus it's got the best views over the valley towards Monsal Head.

One word of caution, the site was full and they were turning speculative people away, so you may have book in advance to ensure a pitch

All in All, we'd certainly go there again
