I hope to go walking in the Peak District in September. Could anyone recommend any campsites there that have walks on it's doorstep, rather than having to drive out every day to start one.
Any advice gratefully received.
Cheers Paul
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Anything in the Hope Valley/Hathersage area, straight out onto the High Peaks there. Glorious area with Castleton and the various caves, also LadyBower reservoir and snake pass with numerous walks all around.
Lathkill Dale is great for tents, caravan pitches always booked, but just at top of Lathkill Date itself and loads of different walks available from there.
We're off to the Peak District at the end of the month, the place we're going to is called Hardhurst Farm. Its situated in Hope Valley and when i phoned to see how much it would be for 2 nights, i'm going to check again when i book, but the woman at the campsite said it would be £21 for 2 nights, 2 tents and 2 adults and 2 kids.
We live in the Peak District, but having already had a camping trip this month, we can't really afford to go and camp somewhere far away from the house, and we want to try out our new tent lol
