Waveney River Centre decided to change their mind and charge us for 2 pitches for our Vango Diablo 900, so I checked out the thread about sites that accept large tents and came across Rose Farm Touring Park in Belton near Great Yarmouth.

Rang Rose Farm and they are more than happy to accomodate us and the reviews are excellent!! Really looking forward to our trip now

WRC, are refunding us based on a booking error so will still have to pay them £15 but its better than them charging us £34 per night (as opposed to £20 at Rose Farm) and she says if i write to managing director i should be able to get the £15 back

I would def. get my 15 back. Was there anything about large tents on their website?

I'm glad you at least found another site to go to on such short notice.

Thats good news, double fees would have been shock, we may be coming to Rose Farm too - if they are not full. Fingers crossed for the weather though!

Enjoy your trip.

Mamabear - the website states pitch size as 8x10 - I rang and told them what tent i had and was assured it wouldnt be a problem. Today I contacted them about something and was told that I had to pay for 2 pitches as with our guy ropes we would be over the width by a matter of cm - I can understand about fire regs but still 2 pitches!

Dave + Wendey - might see you there then, we'll be the harrassed ones trying to amuse 3 children whilst putting our tent up for the first time Fingers crossed the weather is good for us
