Hello there,

Please can someone make me aware of a place in Brean, Somerset, where it is a nice place to camp.

Myself and my partner have purchased our first tent at the weekend, and we just want somewhere to go this weekend not far from home, for a practice for a night or two.

If someone could let me know i would be most appreciative.

Thank you very much!

Stacey

I like Warren and Northam Farm. Not much between them in my opinion.

Thanks Jan,

Do you think I would have much chance of being able to book for this weekend, or do you think its too short notice?

Warren Farm has a field that is used as a market in the week and has to be cleared so they often have weekend vacancies for tents.

Northam Farm, it is a little nearer to the centre of Brean, Warren is about 20-25 min walk.

Stayed at Warren Farm last Friday and Saturday en route to Cornwall. All I can say is we wish we hadn't bothered with Cornwall. Brean was great and so very family friendly and great value for money. Cornwall , well be prepared to be ripped off.

I agree Cornwall is a rip off.  But in my opinion Brean isnt so pretty as Cornwall.  Brean is like you say - family friendly, plenty to do etc.  It reminds me of your typical "kiss me quick hats, stick of rock" type of resort.  The beach is ok, but not as clean as the beaches in cornwall.

Hi Fairyprincess,

My trip was fantastic thank you, we stayed at Southfield farm in the end, it was a very basic site, but that was all we could get as we left it really short notice, but they had showers, toilet, and to be honest for a weekend we didnt need much more than that.  We ate out every evening, but we cooked breakfast on the stove, and my parents came down on saturday afternoon so we had a nice big BBQ then.  It still only took around 15 mins to walk to the Seagull -opposite pontins, and around 20/25 down to the leisure park, so it wasnt too bad at all, and it definatley kept us fit!!

Overall, we will def be going camping again, just hope to fit a couple in during september before the weather changes!

Would like to say thank you soooo much for everyone that gave me advice.
