Hi im staying at this site next weekend and hope to fish the river ,has anyone fished it and have you got any tips ie bait species and tackle to use,thanks.

I've fished the Ure, but not at Boroughbridge.
Plenty of chub, barbel, roach etc in Yorkshire rivers. River Swale not too far away either, which I prefer.
I'm sure there's a tackle shop in Boroughbridge who'll be able to help you.

Hi,
My husband has fished on the river at Boroughbridge. He caught a one and a half pound perch, as he was reeling it in a ten pound pike took it and he landed them both together. The bait he was using was sweetcorn. Happy fishing.
