Hi,

Going to Sandringham ccc site next week where I believe they have a no ball games rule. Does anyone know if this includes swingball and badminton? Also does anyone know if this is a suitable site to take the kids bikes?

Thanks, Mark.

Hi, Went to sandringham ccc, a while back.  you are ok for bikes on site. specially if kids stick to the road network, should keep them happy for a while. should be ok for swingball as well prividing its a the rear of your unit. it is a very nice site. have great time.

Hi

I think all C&CC or CC Sites have 'no ball games' rules, although many of them do have specific playing fields where ball games are allowed.  I've never known any problem with swingball, which is very popular - since it can't dent a caravan or land on someone's tent or barbeque!

I stayed at Sandringham recently (on the CC site) and walked around the C&CC site several times, because they are neighbouring.  I would say the kids would enjoy using their bikes there.  It is a lovely site, with plenty of room for playing.   If they are old enough, you can take them cycling outside of the site too, as there are miles of long straight tree-lined roads to pootle along.  However, the traffic would make this a bit dodgy for little ones.

It can when the game gets a bit competative and you let go of the bat by accident

They didn't allow any ball games when we went in April, saw the site warden telling  father and son swingball players not to!

My kids did play pass a bit but with the football, that was before the caravans started getting thick on the ground, then they were told not to!  Didn't realise before then that no ballgames was a rule.  If they have such a rule you would think they'd have a small area where they could play.

It is a nice site though, and great for their bikes.

Also swingball can be quite dangerous when you've had a little too much to drink, I hit myself round the face with a swingball bat year before last, spent about 3 days with a chequerboard for a face!

we were at sandringham last week in july , and there was plenty of ball games being played , lots of swingballs , cricket matches , and even the odd kick about with a football ,that i observed , my only gripe is that i wish parents would not let the kids take heavy leather footballs , plastic ball dont do much damage at all , more worrying for me was parents letting their little ones blowing soap bubbles , they do more damage to tents and awnings than any ball games could ,
