Any recommendations for a site near Loch Lomond to take a caravan to at October half term?

Hiya hopscotch, We went to Balloch at the low end of the loch.  We stayed at Lomond Woods Caravan Park, it was great, 5 mins walk to the shore where their was a shopping complex, sea life centre, Information centre etc.. that was a left turn out of site, then a walk down a pathway.  If you turn right out of site, you find a Chineese restaurant, then McDonalds, 5 mins walk away is the village of Balloch, a couple of pubs, Indian, English and takeaway foods. Co op, train station, lovely park, well worth a visit.  Good clean site, with Touring Caravans, Statics and Log Cabins.

Hope that helps.

Shirley

Good to know a bit more about where we have booked for late Oct.

Going to a wedding and the special wedding guest price is £145 per night. We would need two nights and don't fancy paying £290 to see a bride that we haven't seen for 12 years.

I am sure that we will have a good time, hope that the weather is kind to us.

Lomond Woods is a nice site, stayed on there many times. You can easily walk into Balloch and to the Lomond Shores complex
