Can anyone tell me what the touring part of Greenacres at Porthmadog is like please? Read a couple of reviews and the toilet/shower facilities dont seem that great. Guess im hoping to hear someone say some positives about the place  .

Been offered a deal on there 4 nights for 30 quid during mid September. Really cheap but i gotta convince me missus. Though it looks ideal for our 2 and half year old daughter.

We go there often as its great for kids and sometimes the adult entertainment in the showbar can be good.  As you say you can get great off-peak deals.  We have booked for a week in October on a superpitch for £56 ( plus £21 for the dog).

The toilet and shower facilities are ok.  I have seen better, but I have seen a lot worse.  Good indoor play area and swimming pool.  The beach is as good as any, with miles of sand and dunes.  You don't say what outfit you have.  They don't take tents.

Didn't Greenacres have some stupid rule that you had to be booked on for so many nights before you could use the club etc ?

We have booked for 2 nights at beg of Oct £26.00 fun passes included!

Just got back from their.   
The toilets were kept nice and clean - the only problem was that in the ladies the disabled shower had badly designed drainage  - which meant that the water ran out into the rest of the shower section - which meant that the floor could get quite muddy.    Apart from that there wasn't a problem with the block.    Always plenty of loo paper etc.
At one point when I went to wash up, there was no hot water in the sinks - so I told one of the maintenace crew - who said he would be on to it straight way.    About an hour later I spoke to somebody else doing their dishes, and they said there was plenty of the stuff.
Litter picker uppers were very much in evidence throughout the site.   

We went from 31st August to 4th September - and although the touring field was busy the rest of the site wasn't overcrowded.    We paid £78 for a super pitch for 4 nights - it has its own water point, electric, and grey water point.   Funworks passes also included - which meant that the kids could watch a show every evening.

You can often get really good off peak last minute deals.   As I was packing up I was speaking to a chap who had just arrived, and he had paid £28 for 5 nights - everything included.
