Does anyone know of a cheap children friendly campsite in Jersey.

I'm thinking of going next year. what ferry companies go there?

Thanks in advance

Garth

Sadly, the words "cheap" and "Jersey" don't go together!

Absolutely stunning place but expensive. St Brelades Bay in particular is stunning (it's one of my favourite places)

There are 4 campsites on Jersey - Rose Farm, Blue Soleil, Beuvelande and Rozel.
Contact Jersey Tourist Information and they'll send you all the details and ferry info or just type the campsite names into your search engine for further details on each site.
You can hire the large frame tents already erected and equipped if you don't want to take your own. There are limited spaces on site for taking your own tent so book early. It seems most people who camp on Jersey use the sites frame tents rather than lugging all their own gear across.

We looked to go this year but sadly the costs put us off.

Sorry I can't be more helpful but I'm sure someone more knowlegable will be along soon!

Myself and two kids stayed on Rose Farm site last year, and the year before.  Both times in ready erected tents.  We had a lovely time - but it is true that you will spend a shedload of money.  Although, having said that, I think I spent a lot because we ate out for almost every meal except breakfast!!  I think Jersey probably has enough to keep kids occupied for one week - two might be pushing it - it's a very small island.  My kids loved it though, and keep asking when we will be going back.

Rose Farm is quite a good site for ready erected tents - but it is not particularly quiet.  The first year we went, some cheery Aussie lasses were in charge.  Second year (at the risk of causing offence to some), the Polish lads were not so happy or helpful!  We still had a good holiday though.
