Only stayed there in a static a few years ago when the kids were younger. We found it ok for a base, especially for the Forest of Bowland but also handy for Blackpool. We only went in the club house the once for a drink as it is bingo etc and very institutional - depends if that's your thing really, it's not ours!

It does have a decent indoor pool

Went last year. Wont be going back.

Toilets/showers were dirty and far away. Pitches strewn with litter. Staff who can't make the grade at McDonalds and what seemed the obligatory fight during the small hours.

We used Clitheroe a few years ago and were also very pleased with it, not been a member of the C&CC for a while so find it a wee bit expensive now. Might be worth renewing the membership though. The weekend we went they were full but they found us a pitch in the camping field and doubled us up on a lecky point. Very helpful indeed.

Shame to hear about this site having gone down the nick.  It was the first site we went to.  It's about an hour away from home, and we decided that it would be ideal if the kids didn't like camping.    The only thing that I would say against it, having since visited other sites, was the tent field lacked even a tap, and the steps up to it were a tad on the steep side.   Barring that the kids loved the pool, loo blocks were lovely and clean, and even the kids club was bearable, when you have two young kids.

Possible off to Clitheroe in a couple of weeks time - depending on where Richard is working.    Last time we went there it did nothing but rain for the best part of the weekend.   However, when it did stop we got a lovely walk along the river.    Knowing the area we just headed to Burnley, as often the weather can be different on the other side of Pendle Hill.

Went to this site for half term. For £5.50 a night didn`t expect a lot. Pitches are small and not well maintained. Toilets and showers were always clean, even had music playing if you like radio one.

Went to club house for two nights, certainly dated but staff were friendly and tried their best to entertain. A bit put off by what appeared to be the resident children running a bit wild.

Longridge was a good base for Blackpool for the day and we went to Manchester (son wanted to go to the Dr Who exibition).

Overall good value for money, but did think it could be improved and I don`t think we will be returning.
