Thanks for the suggestion. Had a look at reviews but they appeared very mixed, especially concerning the exposed sloped situation. How did you find this?

Hi All,

I wonder if anybody can help me, neither my partner or I drive.  I am looking for campsites that are accessible by the local bus services.  We are willing to travel obviously not too far as we would only be going for the weekend.  If anybody could recommend anywhere that would be great

Were you camped with another couple ie two tents close together? if so you spoke to me as i walked my dog around the two small ponds at bottom end, my dog looks like a mini sheep and MH was parked at top pitch on left with yellow Suzuki ignis attached

parrots too vauluble to risk losing on site so they stay at home

Beaconsfield do take dogs

shame your in a tent cos Croft Park Beverley is another good one

We saw your lovely motorhome and thought what a great idea having the little car attached was. You were honoured as the couple you met (not us) were camped next to us and didn't crack a smile in our direction all weekend. Maybe a change of deodorant is needed!

Welcome to the site, I dont know where you are in west yorkshire but there is a site at Hollingworth lake in Littleborough which is just over the boader in Lancashire that you could get to on public transport, theres a train station in  Littleborough and a taxi up the hill to the campsite would be about 3.50, there's a bus up the hill but then you would have to walk round the lake, see the reviews below.
