I take your point but I have been to far better sites with more facilities at a fraction of the price.

As for letting the kids run around there are too many 'blind bends ' and fast drivers around this site.

Try Trencreek farm. We went in August and it only cost £21 with electric hook up for 2 adults and 2 children. Fabulous facilities(pool, animals, play area, shop, takeaway, bar, games room, laundry, wah up area, super clean showers/toilets) It was my first time camping, in a dodgy tent (I'm v fussy). We came back and bought a bigger tent and will be returning next year!

Can you provide links for these please.  I am looking for an alternative to Trevornick for next year and so far can find nothing to come close.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Folks

Wow.  Being a newcommer to the forum has shocked me, never expected this many replies.  We are loking at quite a few of the sites you have recommended, just trying to get the balance right as we need somewhere with stuff for kids but not mega bucks.

Many thanks once again.

Scarletsfan try Skipsea sands or Flower of May in Yorkshire. The surrounding towns are not trading rip off prices like Cornwall. These are great family sites , Skipsea is Hoseasons  and Flower of May is privately run.

Skipsea Sands is over £30 per night, the touring area is small and tucked away in the corner behind the statics, the reviews aint too great and you have to pay for the pool.  Also it has not got half of what Trevornick has to offer.

Flower of May looks like good value though.

Edit.. the pitches here are small and you also have to pay for the pool.......grrr that is the one thin that really gets to me....paying for the swimming pool on site.
