We have relatives in Bedford who are always asking us to visit but I've read some really awful reviews of sites in the area which put me off a bit - siting caravans on car parks, no showers, etc.
Does anyone know of a decent site somewhere around Clapham, Bedford area with toilets, showers and labrador friendly (we couldn't go without him)..
Thanks.

Try Henlow Bridge, it is near a road and rail line but has showers and toilets and plenty of walks for a dog. I think it is a small CC site. Also just in Herts is the CC site and another CL, can never remember which CC or CC and C is CL or CS both at Ashwell, Ashridge Farm and Loves Lane.
The Ashridge farm one is Caravans only. I live in Ashwell and would recommend staying here. It's a lovely village. The pubs all have gardens and welcome dogs. Though do be warned if you stay here Jaydee. Cassie a black lab who is often found in the garden of the Rose and Crown is in season and might rape your lab if he is a boy. She is a complete slut who lays down on the ground with her legs spread whenever she see's Elvis our black lab. They mated last year and we are now the proud owners of their puppy Smudge. One buy-one-get-free-offer i regret lol
I think there is also a site at Pulloxhill which is south of Bedford but don't know what it's like as we only live down the road. Oh, and there is a site at Sharnbrook, stayed here for a wedding, it was fine, a C&CC certificated site but they allow non members. It's easy to get to from the A6 north of Bedford.

Whoo! another from round my neck of the woods person! I'm a Baldockian!
Emberton Country Park (listed on campsite search) would be ideal. Although it's in Olney, Buckinghamshire - it's not that far from Clapham / Bedford at all.
