I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I can never seem to find campsites with play areas and as we only have one little girl it makes our life much easier if we do!

We are visiting family in Brampton, near Carlisle next week and thought we may as well take the tent and make a weekend of it, if anyone knows of any good sites in the area I'd love to hear about them.

Sorry I cant help with a site with playground, I would say Silloth Stanwix Park is your best best but 50 mins drive to the west of brampton, on the west coast. There is a site in Brampton near the secondry school, I beleive its nice but quiet.  There are another couple of places in the area, one near Heads Nook and near Longtown.

Good luck sorry I cant be of better help to you, try the hoi sun chinese in Brampton its the best takeaway around.  Have fun.

We have stayed at Dalston Hall , near Carlisle in the past and found it to be good .

Has a small kid's playground , swings , slide , climbing frame etc , which went down well with our little girl

Bit further away but lovely site at appleby called wild rose about 20 mins from Carlisle has lovely play park think it has about 3 parks to cater for all ages.
