Hiya everyone.

Just read in this months CC mag that Kielder water is to become and 'AS' for next season, (2008). They advise you to book direct and check the website www.nwl.co.uk/kielder

Been on the web site and I can't see anything about caravanning? Loads on the log cabins. Is the change in status to mean that the CC has sold the site?

I was already looking forward to going there when it first opened in the spring...

Is there anyone out there who can shed some light on this one for me?

We stayed here earlier in the year and was told it was coming to the end of its lease.

If its going to be an Affiliated Site then it will have to cater for the CCs vans!!! so I think your safe, next year at least.

Hmm we wondered when we stayed there recently if they haven't secured planning for anything else so will continue to cater for tourers and keep the cash flow up.

It is a shame it isn't open all the year round there would certainly enough interest.
