Had mixed camping hols last year but really enjoy quiet sites, not all singing all dancing.  Can anyone recommend a site - dont mind anywhere in the UK.  Cost not a priority.  Must take large tent.  We can wholeheartedly recommend Brandedleys, Dumfries & Galloway if interested.

Garlieston Lodge Garliston not many pitches but camping in small orchard surrounded by rare breed hens, pigs and pagoda over pond short walk to small village.

 Glenluce Caravan and camping park situated in quiet village camping area in old walled garden.

Both sites in Dumfries and Galloway towards Stranraer.

Seems Dumfries and Galloway leads the way lol. Although i haven't used it there is one near penpont which is meant to be lovely they even have a small pool and sauna. Its a cc cl site

Many thanks for your responses though should have mentioned we have two children and some of these sites seem to be for adults only - pity its only the adults who can make a quiet site.

C.C site in Melrose,on edge of the small town but nice and peaceful,only problem they don't take tents...well small backpacker tents only..we used it often when we had our tourer..........regards john.b.

Invercaimbe Caravan & Camping Park, just outside Arisaig in the Highlands. Small site, part of a working croft, the end of the site comes right onto the beach, and there's a shallow estuary at the side. There's no childrens' play area or anything, but the beaches round there are lovely and it's ideal for kids in that respect. It's a bit remote though, that's why it's so quiet.

Invercaimbe near Arisaig, what a place campted there a few times, Joyce the owner most helpful. Never had the van up there yet but would love to, those sunsets June/July in the late evening stunning.
