has anyone stayed on the riverside holiday park in newquay, cornwall? we've been on the links to see if there are any reviews but there aren't any. we would be staying in our own tent and have 1 six year old and 1 two year old. what are the facilities like on site? one of the reasons we are looking at this site is beacause they have an indoor pool, what is it like? any comments would be useful.....
many thanks, Lisa x

No I have not been but.........some of my friends go back year after year with their trailer tent and they really, really like it
I have the brochure somewhere for the site and I seem to remember it has plenty of facilities and my mates would not go to a rubbish site so it should be alright
I live a few miles from this Site and would be happy to look in when they are open in March. It is down a very quiet road and very handy for Newquay. I have driven past many times and it does look nice and could be ideal for your young children [one will be free].
I have just seen a couple of reviews on another website - both favourable.
"We stumbled across this campsite by accident when we were looking for a holiday about 6 years ago, the rates for a static caravan were very reasonably priced so we thought we'd give it a go, we were so pleased with the site and it's facilities that we have gone back again to hire a static caravan, then we took the tent and camped for a week and this year we have our first caravan and are going back again. They have lovely new shower blocks that are spotlessly clean, dish washing room with constant hot water, a laundrette, a bar, games room, shop, take away food or eat it in the resturant area and best of all they have an indoor heated pool. The campsite is so lovely and tidy and out the way of busy traffic. My daughter is 11 and gets so excited when we go there coz she can have a run around in safety and there's a park area for all ages."

Thank you for your replies, we were starting to think the campsite didn't really exist! we would be very grateful if you would pop in and have a look round for us, we would be taking a tent and have a 6 old and a 2 year old. I have sent off for their brochure and the website looks very nice so will probably book but would really appreciate you looking!! Thanks again Mike
We went there about 5 years ago in a trailer tent. the site is a nice little site, with a tiny shop that shold everything, a small club type pub, that did quiz nights and bingo, but not rowdy.Toilets and showers were clean. the only problem i can see is there is a river running on the edge of the site. hence the name. it was not very deep when we were there in august, but people where fishing in it with fishing lines. But the banks were steep in some places. The owner Paul was really nice and helpful to us, and we liked the site very much and went back again the following year. It is too far out from Newquay to walk in, so you need to take the car every where, and in August it was one big traffic jam, every time you left the campsite.

Can I ask you to remind me as soon as the site is open - cos I could so easily forget. Meanwhile the next time I pass I will see if I can get access, there just may be someone on Site.
