Hi, we are thinking of going to the lake district and would like to know were is the best caravan park to go to, we also have a dog so it needs to be a caravan park that alous them, we would like a place thats quiet but has entertainment if we wish to go.

I can thoroughly recommend the Camping and Caravanning Club site at Troutbeck near Ullswater. Me, my wife and the dogs spent the whole of the Christams there and had a great time, so much so that we've just booked again for Whitsun.

The franchisees/owners are very friendly, the site is mostly hardstanding pitches, the toilet blocks are spotless, but most of all the surrounding views are breathtaking. They don't have any entertainment there and that's the only drawback for you Jim.
