With apologies to all dog-lovers, I'm looking for dog-free family campsites in southern England - despite our best efforts two of my boys are scared of dogs. Please can anyone help.

I can only suggest you troll thru the campsites. There appears not to be a 'No Dogs' filter which is annoying for you. I checked UK camsites, CC & C&CC websites.
I have a similar dilemma Jbarg92 and as Bowler says the only option appears to be trawling through them one by one. This is my first (or will be) experience of camping and I was wondering how strictly the "dog rules" are enforced on sites?
Hi im a dog owner and believe it or not i know how your kids feel as i hated dogs as a kid but don't let them stop you doing what you want, yes be aware of dogs these days as there are irresponsible owners but not all dogs are bad try to get your kids to face their fears as my dad did by taking them to friends who you know have a friendly dog and take it slow introducing them if you have any problems i will ring the camping club and ask tomorow. Andy.
Thanks for the replies so far, have been in the past the Forestry Commission site at Christchurch in the Forest of Dean but that, it seems, is no longer dog-free. Also Pencelli Castle in Brecon, Wales, which was good.
Know Hoburne sites do not allow dogs (except guide dogs) as Cotswold site is on my doorstep but can't go there cos of no mutts - Have 3 of the little darlings!!
Lovely area, with lots do especially if you like water sports & walking
