Can anyone please recommend a caravan in Norfolk area for the summer holidays in August, not to commercial but with a shop or a pub etc. We have two children 10 & 8 looking to see Norfolk Broads and Yarmouth etc.

Try Clippesby hall, fantastic site, has shop which does freshly baked bread in mornings, small cafe and pub which does excellent food, also has an outside pool  play area for kids and tennis courts but manages to remain non commercial.  Toilet blocks and showers were very good, they even have a family bathroom room.

We love this site, the owners are very helpfull, its a family run affair.

It is quite close to Yarmouth and the broads, an excellent base for touring the area.

You will find reviews under the camp site search. I cannot reccomend it enough

 If you Join the caravan club they have a good site on the racecourse in Yarmouth with a pub just outside the gates, also another good site at cromer with a bar and shop and outdoor s/pool.

Drewery Caravan Park at California, just north of Yarmouth. It's not a very big site, and isn't commercial, it's on a clifftop with direct access to a nice beach and with open fields and heathland to the side, ideal for dog walking. Just by the entrance is a shop, a pub which does nice meals, a takeaway and amusements. We've been going there for years and we love it.

It's also not far from the broads, and a couple of  miles walk along the beach takes you to Hemsby, a little place with shops, cafes and amusements, and a good market on Mondays. Hope this helps -

This sounds like the type of site in that area that I am looking for to take the children and the dog.  Tigermouse can you give us any idea what the toilet/shower facilities are like and what they charge per night?
