Hello

Just starting to plan a trip to Whitby area in the last week of July. Would appreciate any    recommendations for quiet out of the way campsites, preferably 10-15 miles inland

Have a look at the CC site at West Ayton nr Scarborough , 4miles. Site is usual CC standard with Grass and Hard standing.

Its Ideal for Whitby, 18 miles, Scarborough, Bridlington etc. See the reviews on this site for it.

Maybe not quite as far inland as you would like, but I can recommend Serenity in the village of Hinderwell. It's quiet, out of the way, about a mile and a half inland from Runswick Bay and only about 7 miles to Whitby.

Try Wolds Way caravan & camping site, it is fantastic, clean, quiet,super service, oustanding about 20mins to the sea

Another vote for Wolds Way - lovely quiet site, great views, clean and hot showers. Out of the way but not too far to drive for good days out - Whitby, scarborough, York

Hi "Serenity" is an excellent site with very helpfull and friendly owners. We wanted to try one of the predominantly adult only sites in N.Yorks and we had a very peaceful break.

HoneyBee Farm near Whitby, nice and amall, in the middle of nowhere up a huge hill. Friendly owners, good walks. Def recommend
