I want to take my kids camping with me a few weekends during Spring and Summer. However, I dont really want a big site with lots of amenities which will cost me the earth.
Are there any sites in the South West which are basic (but clean? A friend even suggested simply finding a field somewhere quiet to pitch my tent!
Any ideas on where to stay - a field with a loo block will do us all.
Your help, as always, is appreciated.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Try Halse Farm in Exmoor, http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3297 Good clean loo block, small site, lovely views across the combe and directly on Exmoor, walk through the gate and straight onto the moor and up the hill. Small play area for children, lots of room for them to play and lovely and quiet for them to get straight off to sleep at night. Lots of pretty areas close by, Exmoor is great for stream to paddle in and good for walking with a lovely coastline, if you prefer a more 'natural' outdoors holiday.
