Hi Folks,

I've just bought a caravan and want to book some where in North Yorkshire for the easter break.

Could anyone help with recommendations?

Thanks,

Mark

Hello mate, welcome to the mad world of caravaning, depending on what type of site you are looking for, normally you have to book well in advance for the easter break, you could try the vale of pickering, look in site search for north yorkshire and this and others will show up. good luck finding somewhere m8.[:o)]

Grouse hill in north youkshire, we booked it last sunday and there did not seem to be a problem, its a lovely site 4 miles from robin hoods bay and 8 miles from whitby, you could try there the owners are very friendly.

Good luck

Agree with Bev+Jon.

Also, depends what kind of sites you like. Me, I like 'em cheap n cheerful, no clubhouses or laid on entertainment.

Just been to Lower Greenhills in Salterforh (just inside N Yorks), very nice. Also like Home Farm, 6 miles south of York in Moreby, Nr Stillingfleet.

Hi Doylum

You are talking to a Yorkshire man in love with the dales.Try Bainbridge Ings at Hawes, breathtaking scenery, lovely owners and they have a web site. Just punch in what I have given you. They are full over Easter w/e but then everywhere is, but should have vacancies after w/e.

Hi Mark, try Rosedale great site, 3 pubs all in close to site and plenty of excellent walks to work up that thirst.

Do you know of any sites in lakes near Ambleside & Windermere that you could mention?

Terry

we liked this site despite being without  our car for the week, it broke down on our way there. we walked and caught buses, whitby  £5 return, fantastic plaice for fish and chips!!!

Serenity preominantly adults at Hinderwell - nice site, friendly helpful owners, good views, about 1 1/2 miles inland from Runswick Bay and about 7 miles North of Whitby. Pub across the road from the entrance does good meals at very reasonable prices.
