Anyone any experience of this site?

We have a week booked for Spring Bank holiday & I've just found out that our trailer will need to be left in the carpark.  When I booked this I was asked what size our tent is but nothing else.  I've just called them to check something on the booking & found out we have been allocated a 6m pitch.  This is only just big enough to put our tent on.  They have said that there is space next to the pitch to put the car but not trailer & this will have to go in the carpark.  I am now concerned that we will have nowhere to park, will lose the trailer & have nowhere to sit outside the tent.

Anyone else had any problems?

Sorry, didn't make myself clear

I've read general reviews on  the site & all seems well.  Just wanted to know if anyone had been allocated a pitch which doesn't appear to be big enough?

Maybe I should expect to be packed in like sardines when booking one of these big sites during school holidays.  I just want to know if my tent & camp chairs are going to fit on the pitch thats been allocated.

Well, if your pitch size is only just big enough, i would be thinking about a different site.

My thoughts exactly but thought maybe it was me being paranoid. She said pitch was 6m but only found this out by chance when I phoned them.  I don't know if 6m is the total size of the pitch or if they allow any extra room around this so you can swing a cat.

Been in this situation before when i had my van.

Awning up and it was a foot away from the next van, with nowhere to sit outside.

Your guy ropes could be overlapping, i would try to arrange something else if you can cancel.

Hope you get sorted out.

Have spoken the site again about this & if I cancel I lose £90 deposit I paid. Surely though they should allow you room to sit outside if you give them tent dimensions?? Maybe we should have just booked a self catering flat with view over a carpark from the window or something instead

Panic Over!

After a restless night, I called them (again) this morning & the pitch itself is indeed 6m x 6m so the tent would not fit.

Miraculously they now have a 10m pitch available when last night they had nothing.  the new pitch also has seaview which wasn't available when I booked back in Sept.

At least they have done the right thing & changed it eventually.

I've stayed on this site and found the staff really helpfull.  We had a gelert vario 6 large tunnel tent at the time and found the pitch had plenty of room for us, the car and 4 deckchairs/table, but of course it all depends where abouts you are pitched. I'm glad you are sorted and have a bit more space with your new pitch
