We are planning a trip to the Lakes in June and have invited my sister (who has just lost her husband) to join us.  She is really keen as she enjoys walking  and the great outdoors but is more used to the comforts of hotel living,  Can anyone suggest a really good site in the Lake District with excellent facilities - we have been to a few sites in the Lakes  but some of the arrangements were somewhat basic and we don't want to put her off!!! 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We've been to Fallbarrow Park a few times although pricey it's very smart, piped music to the heated loos etc & very handy for walks. Great for eating out as you don't need the car to get into town. Never fails to impress should suit your needs on this occassion.

Bowness on Windermere CC site (Braithwaite Fold) for us.  Small site ................. great washroom facilities ............... all within easy walking distance of the lake and Bowness town itself!
