Hi everyone,

Have just booked our first caravan summer holiday this week - scary!!  But we really do need to have a 'dummy run'.  Have put it to the family and they request somewhere not to far, we live in derbyshire, and plenty to do. Me and OH would be glad of middle of nowhere for some peace, but 4 kids aged 6 - 11 don't quite agree.

And while I think of it, would you all recommend that we join the caravan club, is it any good and do we need to be in it, i.e is it worthwhile?

As always thankyou in anticipation, your a very knowledgeable lot for people like me who know nothing.

Paula

Hi Paula,

We have joined both Caravan Club and Caravan and Camping Club.  We have 2 children aged 4 and 6 and I find it very useful on the Caravan Club Website to use the tick box "ideal for children" as this means there is a play area, you would be surprised how many sites don't have play areas.  Decide where you want to go, and check the reviews on UK Campsite beore you book.
