Hi
Eskdale C&CC at Boot in cumbria has a good cycle path it starts at Boot station and follows the river part of the way and then carrys on to Ravenglass past the entrace to Munster Castle and the Roman baths, you can then catch the Ravenglass steam railway back to boot, you have to book your bikes on the train in advance as they can only carry so many, but its a great day out, its mostly flat or down hill except for one steep bit at chapel hill where we got off and pushed.
You get the leaflet from the stations or if you phone they will post you a copy, its got vouchers for money off to get in Munster castle and the price of the bikes on the train, it cost £1.90 last year
It does take a bit of time to get to Eskdale at its on the east side of the lakes but its worth it.
