we are looking for a quiet site good clean showers/loos.doesnt need to have a shop or hook up.child and dog friendly that is next to or close to a river so we can use a canoe and do a bit of fishing.poss norfolk broards or the lakes but open to any other area.one place i did visit years ago was in the broards but all i can remember was, it was near a barn on a small road that had some jet provost aircraft inside, with the wings removed.does anyone know where it is?and has anyone stayed there recently.thanks.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
We stayed at Outney Meadow which I think is in Suffolk a few years ago. The site itself is very quiet, nicely laid out, and has a winding river at the back of the field (if that makes sense). I seem to remember that you could hire a boat, so sure it's okay to bring your own. The only draw back that I can recall (and do bear in mind that we went a few years ago), was it was quiet limited in terms of showers. Check out the reviews. I'd be interested inthe one that you can't remember where it is, hope you recall it, or someone else does!

Just a 'stab in the dark' but, the barn with aircraft inside could possibly be what is now the "Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum" at Flixton (www.aviationmuseum.net). It's close to the River Waveney, which is a broadland river, though that far 'upstream' it's not strictly part of the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads...
One campsite close by is "Little Lakeland" at Wortwell (about two miles from Flixton). It's a very friendly small campsite, set in lovely countryside, with very good facilities. You can find out more about "Little Lakeland" by using the 'Camp Site Search' facility above, where you'll find site reviews too...
P.S. There are two 'Provost' aircraft at the Flixton museum...
the jet provost planes that i saw were not part of a museum, just sitting in a barn next to the road.with the wings stacked up and big wooden boxes full of parts!
