Hi

Does anyone have or know of anywhere in South Wales with access to Cardiff with a vacancy for 3 tents for the rugby league weekend.  There are 4 families (8 adults, 6 children).  Electric hook up isn't necessary.  We just need a field with a shower/toilet block! 

I have already tried the main ones but they are full i.e. Acorn, Landow, Pontcanna.  Lavernock said they do not take bookings and you can just turn up on the day but I think I would rather be safe than sorry and try to book somewhere if possible.

 There is campsite in Cwmcarn ..about 8 miles off junction 28 of M4 so not too far from Cardiff. It is on here x

I thought there was another one! not on here but about 3 miles of J28 'bout 12 miles from Cardiff there is a farm that does B+B and camping- would be worth giving a ring although I think it might be a bit basic. It is called Pentre Tai Farm there seem to be two websites one for camping one for b+b but same contact details. x

try barry island, not too far away from cardiff, also penyfan pond at crumlin, i think its called penyfan country park, nice site great views, but about 45 mins away from the capital.

I know this may be a bit far for you but there is Pont Kemys in  a place called Chainbridge near Usk.. I would say it's about 20mins to junction 26 M4. It is on here .. sorry don't know how to do links! x
