Hi i am new to camping and i am thinking of going to scotland this year has anyone been to ardgarton campsite in scotland i am looking for places where i can do some fishing i have read a few reviews about the site but not many recent.

Hi Brinko and welcome to the site. I went there three years ago and apart from the midges it was great. You are right on the lochside. I take it you know it is a sea loch. It is a wonderful area for touring to.

Not a bad site, right on the banks of Loch Long where there are always good sea trout & mackeral fishing, plus your only 10 mins drive from Loch Lomond & 30 from Glasgow.

Hi Brinko

Have a look at the sites round Killin.

We were at Cruachan and Maragowan at Easter and it was full of people who went fishing every day in Loch Tay. I've put reviews in for both sites
