Thank you to everyone who took the time to answer my qurey about the Dales.

It must be a woman thing but the wife has changed her mind,now we are going to the Peak Distict. We are looking at Grin Low, no we are now looking at Cloverfield when she makes her mind up I will let you all know and we will have a party to celebrate, If anyone wants to confuse my wife even more just name some more sites.

I will book a site to try my new walking boots soon.

I had to laugh when I read this. I told OH and the kids I fancied going to the Whitby area,waded through all the site reviews etc, got sidetracked and now we are going to Mold in Wales

Hmmm, I e-mailed a few, one of which wanted to charge me for two pitches for my Vermont so we crossed that one off our list. I will trawl through my mails and if I can find which ones we mailed I will let you know annie.

thanks for that, we will be two families both in big tents (hartford xl/vango colorado)camping 10 days so extra money soon mounts up. Hooks house is on my shortlist, but a bit nervous about how exposed it is?

Thought about going to Wales in a few weeks, might be going to Warwickshire instead but then again might be going to Herefordshire or might camp in the back garden!!!!

Just to update you all , (the Wife here) We have booked the site and are heading for Cloverfields CP. H is a very happy bunny but waiting for him to arrange ' the party'   LOL !!!!!

Is that the one at harpur Hill, near Buxton? Lovely place, nice and central for touring all parts of Derbyshire. We loved Pooles cavern.
