Hi we also can recommend cayton village, very clean site, if you have a tent and dont need ehu, pitch where you like, any size tent, also take dogs, havent had a serviced pitch so dont know about these, Its a good 10-15 min walk to the excellent beach. It is practically right in the village you can get fish & chips and take them into the beer garden of the pub next door.
We also like Middlewood farm, Fylingthorpe, near Robin Hoods Bay. You can walk from the site through the woods down to the bay.
Wolds way is about 15 miles from scarborough, cracking views and sunsets over the wolds, quiet at night,up a long track so its the car if you ned to stock up on anything the small shop doesn't have.
Whitby Holiday Park - Up behind the abbey, Jacobs Mount Scarborough, a cracking site a little further south is South Cliff at Bridlington you wont be dissapointed at any of these

I've stayed at Cayton Village, it was lovely. There's a bus stop right outside the gate too. Two pubs in the village both did good meals. We'll be going back. Fab dog walk too!
Use the search facility and read the reviews on Jacobs Mount. We have booked for July based on the reviews
"Jacobs Mount is a sheltered, family run park, surrounded by woodland and open countryside, on the edge of the Forge Valley National Park area, yet ideally situated only two miles from Scarborough Beach, Town Centre and in close proximity to the many attractions of the surrounding areas. Offering Free showers in newly built Heated shower blocks, Live Entertainment in the Pub Resturant in high season. Two Childrens Play areas as well as a games room during the day"
Hope this helps
