I cant help you with new forest sites but 2 chimneys in kent is a no dogs site.
My daughter used to be terrified of dogs, I mean really really scared, she would climb up my body to get away from one, so we got a dog and now she isnt scared anymore (We got a giant breed and it cured her fear of all dogs, lol!)
Not trying to tell you what to do, but it worked for us!

We understand your situation
We have a dog called Jenny. We would never let her roam free on a campsite. That would be very inconsiderate. We are going camping to be with her
I hate it when big dogs come near us uninvited (off lead) as Jenny was also attacked a few years ago (not on a campsite)
We also very much appreciate the many parents who teach their children normal respect for dogs and ask us as owners if they may stroke her. Jenny has never bitten anyone but she was born with a disability which causes her huge pain when touched anywhere behind her front shoulders
We have many friends who have children and they are all understand that we will only let them stroke her face
We have only been camping once. The dog owners on that site were wonderful. It was a site where dogs had to be on a lead
We got talking to the other dog owners near us and I told them about Jennydog getting attacked by another dog
They helped us and Jennydog. She is less afraid of dogs now. I hope that you will be able to go to a site where folk can help each others like this one
With best Wishes
Jennydog
