Try Trevornick at Cubert between Perranporth and Newquay. It has all you are looking for I think, I've been 5 times and love the place. You will need to book up soon for August as it is popular.
Like the look of hendra and i called them up but they was really funny on the phone towards me-i was asking about the dog,do they have an enclosed dog walk, pitch sizes etc and didnt like the tone so not going just on that fact lol.But thanks x

Thats strange, ive been going there for years and never had a problem, they do have one or two fields that do accomodate dogs. Looks like you got someone on a bad hair day. but id never let that put me off, i would just simply ask to speak to someone else. or a member of the MAY family, as they own it, you never know , you may get a reduction due to your upset.
Trevornick is just what ure looking for............................
Has shop, cafe, golf course, fishing, beach outdoor swimming pool. U may find it more expensive than others buts its really worth it! U get what u pay 4!!!!

Didn't like Hendra when we went there twenty years ago - came home early. Too big and brash then so gawd knows what it's like now.

Vicky, can't answer your question because we are looking to go the same week you are, cough... to the same area you are.. cough... but we can't book...so if I tell ya of all the great places... we won't get to go.. GRIN..
Wife's illness is such that we don't know if she will be up to going away so we have to go to sites that either don't allow booking, and its first come.. or that allow you to phone up last minute.
Have you tried the clever thing (that I did not know about THANK YOU WEBMASTWER) that came in the latest newsletter?? http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/r/dist/
I've been using this all day to find sites for us and have managed to get 3 that I like.. now just have to wait for end of July to come along. One thing I will say is that Cornwall is going to be very busy this year as at least two of the sites I phoned are already fully booked for the whole of August and one of them has 140 tent pitches! Best of luck and I have to say this.. sorry.. we are looking at a really nice quiet no frills site that is 5 mins from the beach that will cost us about £25 a night.. we have kids/dogs... Hendra.. wanted at least £43.50 a night.. and thats when I stopped counting... Trevornick... ready... £49.50 BITES DOWN ON TONGUE HARD... and of course you must book.... I'll sleep on a lilo in the sea before I go to those places
We love Trevornick, going again in the summer holidays. We passed Hendra most days, looks a bit more commercial than Trevornick and always looks a bit crowded to me.
