Hi Guys,

Looking for some help with my second ever camping trip!

We're looking to go this weekend and want to go to the peak district.

There are some things which we wat and some things which would be nice to have so heres what we're after:

Want - No more than 1.5 hours from leicester. Site has clean toilets and showers, ideally without the need to queue. Pot washing facilities. EHU. Not overcrowded. Good no sloping pitches. Has to take me 6 man Gelert Alaska.

Nice to have - Simply camping in a feild rather than a totally man made type site. No curfew so we dont have to be in bed by 10.30 like some regimented sites say. Nice to have a pub or something in walking distance for some variation. Be nice to have the cars next to the tents.

I know its quite a list but does anyone have any suggestions?

Lee

Hi Lee

I'm also in Leicester and mostly get off to the Peak District / Nottinghamshire for weekends. Can't get all your points but you could check out Longnor Wood, Fieldhead (no cars by tents though) or North Lees.

Hey

Longnor Wood is definitely on the right side of the Peak District for you, it's a great site, brilliant facilities.

The only issues for you may be that they like everyone quiet by 11pm, and it is generally a quiet site anyway. They've also decided that no more than two couples/four to a group, which is a shame because there were six of us last year and we were perfectly well behaved, but can't go back together now.

Hope you find what you're looking for.

Amy x
