Hi there,

I'm looking for some recommendations if anyone out there can help, I'd really appreciate.

My wife and I are looking to hire a static caravan for a week (31 May - 6 June) with our 10-month old son in the Cornwall area, and we would ideally like the following on site/nearby:

* Swimming Pool (our son loves water!)
* Beach nearby (although we don't mind a walk to get there!)
* A pub within 10 mins walk to have a meal/drink in the evening, but as you can tell from my log-in I would like a pub that sells real ale (the onsite bar normally only sells keg beer)

Can anyone suggest anywhere. I'd also consider Devon as well if there is somewhere ideal.

Thanks

We're going to Trencreek Farm but are staying in a tent so not sure of the prices for their statics.
There is a swimming pool and farm animals onsite and a pub nearby, The Hewas Inn.
The only downside is you'd need to drive to the beach but we got such a good deal it was worth it.
Probably no help to you whatsoever but you shouldn't have a problem finding what you're looking for if you use the advanced search facility on this website.

Static vans available, a pub within 10minutes walk 'The New Inn Goonhavern' ( half mile away), but no pool.

Perranporth 5minutes drive away

They do have fishing lakes and are a NO pet park (no dogs)

Thanks for all the recommendations. We plumped for St Ives Bay in the end due to the cost and availabilty more than anything, but I'll let you know how we get on.

I'll certainly keep a note of the other suggestions for future holidays - and make sure that I book up in plenty of time next time to get the best prices.

We had a terrific holiday at Sun Valley, St, Austell two years ago. The site isn't overly big, a nice sedate bar and a fantastic swimming pool with baby pool. Also has a small soft play ideal your 10 month old. The beach is a short walk away and the pub is a shorter walk away. Bike hire on site. Thoroughly recommend it, my best holiday in years!
