It's a very well kept clean site pitching is quite close but it's a very quiet site, nothing for kids to do but they are welcomed there.the toilets on site got blocked a few times whilst we were there due to large things been flushed but they are very clean.it's a very narrow road on the lead up to it.but yes a beautiful well kept, friendly, quiet site.a gem
------------- THEY LIED

foghorn if youve got a large tent phone and let them know im sure they will do their best to find you a good pitch but remember its bank hoilday and every square inch counts
------------- Anything i say on here are my own personal views and nothing to do with any campsite or company......
we stay there a lot and find it a very good site.toilets and showers are always clean and theres plenty of hot water.not much to do for kids though.you will need the car to go anywhere as its a bit out of the way.the wardens are very nice and very helpfull.pitches are a decent size we get caravan awning and car on pitch ok.hope this helps
if you go out to eat try the denison arms at east ayton, fantasic food
Lovely Site, camped there 2 weekends ago, just haven't got round to writing a review yet.
There was a vango diablo 900xl on the pitch opposite which was huge!
No play area but we have a 6 month old so it doesn't affect us. A nice big playing field for cricket/football etc. The two new wardens are great, friendly people who can't do enough for you. Good location for pickering, moors scarbrough coast.

Are you going to the FOL afterwards foghorn? We are looking for a good campsite near to Pickering for the Bank Holiday and the week after. You might just have solved our problem if they can fit us in. Thanks.
Oh Dear, just had a look at their site and am not too happy with the prices or paying for 2 people that we wont have with us. We will be back to the THSs I think. Around a fiver for the night. We can manage without electric quite easily.
We use Vale of pickering every year and we love it, everyone is freindly, nice park and football field for kids of all ages. The showers and toilets are cleaned everyday (20p for a shower). We are going next weekend and cant wait.
