hi all , we are looking for a campsite that is within a short(ish) walking distance of a nice town.

like the look of weymouth or bournemouth but can't see any sites that appear to be within walking distance. would like somewhere with plenty of shops and pubs/places to eat but NOT BREAN!!

any suggestions would be welcome.

Not sure what sort of campsite you're after, but Cheddar Bridge, Somerset is walking distance of the town and a bit further on is the gorge where there are plenty of shops and places to eat. It's an adult only site though.

Swanage is a beautiful place. You can walk into swanage from the campsite or catch the steam train.

If you wanted somewhere inland, the Racecourse site is within walking distance of the centre of Stratford upon Avon.
