Hi there, can anyone help us? We are a party of 2 families consisting of 4 adults and 5 children ranging from 2years to 11 years old. We would like to go camping in Wales can anyone recommend an area and campsite.

Fforest Fiellds in Builth Wells.  Excellent site and ideal for young families.  It has a boating lake and a beautiful stream running through it that the kids can spend ages in looking for wildlife.  If you like walking there are some beautiful walks straight from the site.

Thanks for your quick reply. We are looking for mid range really. Like a nice walk but you know how the kids can moan so we would need somert interesting for them to do some of the time as they need to be kept occupied without paying a fortune.

Aberafon campsite near Caernarfon is nice, very clean site by the beach with kids play area and tv come games room for wet weather

There are great beaches in the Barmouth area and lots to do.  Have a look at Dyffryn http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2515.  Then there is Pembrokeshire.  Beautiful area with amazing beaches and lots to do.  There was a thread a few weeks ago about what to see (think this is the link) http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=4&TopicID=143532&PagePosition=1&ThreadPage=1&ReturnPage=Search&search=pembrokeshire&searchIn=Topic.

We like Abersoch in North Wales, only stayed at Fferm Tanrallt Farm so far, but stayin at Deucoch from Saturday onwards and from what we have been told and have seen, its a very good site.

With the kids this should tick all the boxes.

I wrote a review for it but cant find it now so I will do another.

Has a shallow river on 3 sides & although almost in town you would never know. 5 minute walk to town, plenty of showers, laundry, club & bar, swimming pool & I think theres bowling.

Main beach is sand & the kids can fish in the harbour or the start of the river.
