Help - myself, hubby & 2 small children are going to be camping for the World Series next weekend (all being well) but am not sure which campsite is best. Has anybody stayed at Hamilton Fields or Whittlebury park (or both) and can tell me what you think re; facilities, distance to Silverstone, suitability for small kids etc. Any information will be a great help.
Thanks

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
There was a post on here a week or so ago re silverstone. We have stayed at whittlebury during GP weekend, facilities are ok,and the food and beer was reasonably priced.Very handy for the circuit entering just behind copse(across a couple of fields) or a short walk to the main entrance.
Whittlebury apparently has good facilities, I think it's a good 20 minute walk to the circuit gate from there though.
Where is Hamilton fields? I think it's a renamed campsite, presumably for the GP fans! Is it off the Dadford Road? If it's one of the temporary sites it is likely to have very little in the way of facilities so portaloos, possibly showers and as it's presumably cheaper is likely to attract those who are only looking at the cost.
Personally with small children I'd go for Whittlebury, I don't think it's cheap but you should get a better experience.
