My daughter has requested two weekend camping trips one to Brimham rocks near Harrogate and one to the Monkey forest near stoke-on trent and I was wondering if there were any cheap campsites nearby to these that anyone can recommend.
We're not looking for all singing all dancing just somewhere to pitch up and have a stroll.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Yes the site at Pately bridge looks nice, I haven't stayed there though.
Brimham rocks is fantastic, such a great place for kids, went there last year. Howstein Gorge is a great place too it's not far from Pately Bridge, there are small caves/tunnels that you can go through and on the real plus side it has an excellent cafe.
We have stayed at 2 sites in the Harrogate area. Rudding Park had an outdoor pool, bar and restuarant but was very busy with weekend trade but a nice site, and more recently we stayed at the CCC site at Boroughbridge which is of the usual high standard you would expect from a club site.
The whole area is really nice.
How about Manor house farm at Summerbridge approx 2 miles from Brimham rocks, a lovely site with loads of riverside walks and stepping stones that the kids will love playing on, rather a steep drive down to the site but worth it....

Don't know of any campsites but when you go to the Monkey Forest park near the outlet village and catch the boat across the lake. I think it is about £2/3 each but well worth it. Make sure you have plenty of batteries for your camera - the monkeys are just so cute.
