I'd like to have a go at camping in a hammock with a tarp and wondered if anyone knew of any sites that are happy for me to tie myself up between 2 trees as I work out how to do this in comfort and without killing myself at the first attempt!

I would have thought "wild camping" would be the way to go.

It would but it's fairly impossible in England with all sorts of legal issues involved. Scotland's a different matter but I'm as far south as I could get without living in the sea itself

Tieing yourself up between two trees, ooh err misses!

Only kidding, I have never seen that done before, unless its in someones back garden, would be a fair old commute to Scotland for you, Have you thought of France? They're a bit more funky with their camping!

Why not try some of the New Forest camp-sites?  They're run by the Camping and Caravanning Club now, I seem to remember the site at Holmelea has lots of trees, and it's not too far from the Lymington ferry!
