I have searched and searched and there isnt a definite answer anywhere. Please can anyone advice of a campsite for tomorrow night (one night) that four 22yr old lads can have bbq, drink, play music etc.
We're polite and respectful and having read previous posts, we would be willing to offer a "behavioral deposit".
Please help me, we were going to go Poynton again but he said they are booked up!

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=2808 - Gibraltar Farm, Silverdale, Nr Carnforth. This is the one I always suggest as it's a lively but also chilled-out site. It's in a good location - good views over the bay to relax to over lots of beer! There's also a pub in walkable distance & a good butchers for hangover breakfasts.
Thanks for that, ill try n convince lads to go there but ideally were lookin for something closer if possible, say 30mins or something, hardly adventurous i know....
Have you seen Cottage Farm? It is just off the A6, two miles or so beyond Buxton on the way to Bakewell. It is a nice site, good clean facilities and the owner is a very pleasant laid back chap. The journey from Stockport should take you about 45 minutes. There are good reviews of this site on uk campsite.

Thanks "Guys" I have booked the Cottage Farm one. I didnt mention that we want a bbq and beer because everyone assumes we will be loud and disrespecful, which we wont be.
Are most campsites ok with you doing your own bbq etc?
Yes they are, as long as the barbeque is raised off the ground and doesn't scorch the grass. You will find a nice mix of people in the tent field at Cottage Farm-families,young lads who are hiking and a few older people also.Hope you have a good time.
