We want to go down next weekend, myself, DH and two boys of 7 and 4. I want somewhere relaxed and it doesn't have to be all sing and dancing. Was going to try Woodyhyde(reviews seem mixed!)  On a larger scale what about Wareham Forest ?looks nice but rather expensive).

Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

Tom's field is basic but good.  I've camped there lots of times.  Acton field is my favourite; primitive and laid back with a superb view but it won't be open until the school summer holidays.

Take care.

Have a look at Burnbake - only suitable for tents!! Basic facilities but good old fashioned camping. Its roughly halfway between Corfe and Swanage!! 5 mins each way!! Its very laid back and pitch where you like. Heres a link

We have also stayed at Wareham Forest. It is a completely different site with a small shop, pool and spotless facilities!! Would highly recommend Wareham Forest as well!!

Would recommend Ulwell Cottage at the foot of Purbeck Hills and 1 mile from Swanage Town. Indoor heated pool, Pub and Restaurant.  Good, clean facilities. Stunning walking in the Hills and nice beach in Swanage.

Hope the weather is kind for you.  Have fun.

East Creech, without a doubt. Loads for the boys to do, and an easy walk into Corfe Castle.

See you there...
