I would suggest Pentewan Sands but I tried there myself for the two weeks before the school holidays start and they were fully booked months ago. Can't help you any further i'm afraid. I guess it's just a case of phoning round but I do wish you all the best and hope you find something.

I spent ages looking for a really nice site in Cornwall a few days ago and found this one http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2888

Not sure about a pool though or whether they have vacancies for August as i enquired about Sept.

I also wanted it to take pets as that was one of my biggest priorities and yes it does but in my case i will never be going as they discriminate when it comes to what breed of dog you have believe it or not.

Although Pentewan Sands is fully booked up, you could try their other site at Heligan Woods just up the road, I think they have some space available & you can use all the facilities at Pentewan Sands.

Heigan woods is only a couple of miutes at the most from Pentewan, as Micky says, you get a gate card to allow you into Pentewan if you're on Heligan woods. You may be advised to ring Pentewan & try for cancellations. We go there every years & as long as you ignore the odd few uncontrolled yobs, it's lovely for kids.

Click onto www.pentewan.co.uk & you'll have an option to click onto Heligan woods as well.

You're ten minutes in the car from St Austell with all the big shops & 5 minutes from Mevagissey. The option of a walk to Mevagissey on the cliff path walk from the site is there too.

St Ives Bay Holiday Park in Hayle. You can literally walk straight onto the beach and it has lots of stuff on site including two pubs and a swimming pool. Hayle is within easy walking distance.

Trevornick!! May well be booked up but worth a try. They do sometimes have non electric pitches in Sun field (non EHU - and pitch where you like). http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=Trevornick&by=sitename

And just across the road from trevornick is this one http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=holywell&by=sitename

Both sites have the beach a walkable distance away.

Hi Martin, if you click on my link below you can find details of a meet in cornwall that we are doing, the dates might not be right for you but the site itself has it's own beach field and has all the whistles and bells, worth a try for August
