I'd be very interested to know if anyone has had any joy haggling with site owners to get their prices down. Are we all too nice and polite in just accepting their prices ?

It makes my hands go sweaty just thinking about haggling! ... it's just so alien. I knew of some people, way before the internet and 'laterooms' sites who would try and strike a deal on a hotel room at 9pm at night and usually got a fair discount ... so yeah, why not turn up an hour before 'last picth' at a campsite and try the same. Pinktree, you might start a whole new concept!  ... I'll need some confidence-building sessions in haggling tho'.

Why stop there? Petrol, anyone haggled? Down at the butchers? Getting on a bus?

If you drive the prices down, the quality and service will suffer, and the supplier will eventually go to the wall.

Don't take it from me look at any product you buy cheaply.

Paul

Hi everyone I am new  to to forum I have just joined to try and find a cheaper site,I am on a site in wales and the fees have gone up again this year by £150. last year they went up £125.

The only thing you can see getting done on the site is work to make new pitches, the owner thinks he has us over a barral,a lot of us seasonal holders will leave this year, the prices are to high ,some people are paying £1750.00 for a 9 month season, its time to move on.

Anyone know of any sites within 2 hours of manachester but in North Wales by the coast.

Jasper
