We have just booked a week at Watermouth Valley Park in Ilfracombe in July and the C&CC site at Loch Lomond in Scotland for a week in Aug, does anyone know these sites???

We haven't stayed there but drove around Watermouth Valley Park when we were in devon a few weeks ago and it looked very nice. Toilets etc were clean. I think the site used to be called Big Meadow but has recently been renamed. If you check in the search engine using this name you get varied reviews but the bad ones look like they are more due to the terrible weather we had last year than the actual site.

We have definitely put it on our list of future sites to stay at.

Hi Nick and Sarah

I think there are two C&CC sites here at Loch Lomond, one is at Luss on the West side of the loch and the other is at Millarochy Bay on the East. I have stayed at Millarochy, but that was years and years ago, and it was nice than, but I can't tell you what it's like now....as you say it's a C&CC site so it should be ok.
The other site at Luss is just too close to home for us to stay at, but I have heard good reports about it.

I stayed at the Millarochy Bay site last summer hols, really liked it. Lots of good walks nearby and it is right on the Loch so you can do watersports, swim etc. It's got a little shop and good facilities, the approaching road is a bit hairy though.

We are due to go to Watermouth Valley for the first time in early August. If you get he chance to let us know what it's like, we would apprecialte it.
