Hi Helen
We stayed here over the Whit Bank Holiday Week for 8 nights. Had a great time and could have done with another week! Great base for visiting places like Padstow, Port Issac, Boscastle, Eden Project, Camel Trial and Crealy to name a few...
We didn't stay in the lake field, but went for a stroll round the site to have a look at it. It was nice and private, hedged off from the rest of the site, but still only a few minutes walk from the play park, toilets etc. There was a fence all around the lake so no little ones could get in. The week we were there we had an awful lot of rain on the Sunday/Monday and the lake field being at the bottom of the slope got a bit wet. However, as you drive into the lake field, there is a raised area on the right hand side which may be better to pitch on as it was alot drier than the rest of the field.
The pub had a nice relaxing atmosphere, child friendly and the food was nice too. We managed to get in the outdoor pool which the kids loved and was in a real sun trap.
Hope you enjoy the site as much as we did.
